Human powered powder backcountry tours.

For those wanting to earn their turns.

Otaru is surrounded by the ocean to the north, and mountains to the south. It is the perfect playground for the discerning powder hound. 

Backcountry tours are private groups of 1-5 people. 

Everyone needs to be comfortable riding in any terrain and happy to hike for several hours to access private powder stashes. Some previous backcountry experience is preferred but not essential.

INCLUSIONS

• A full days guiding on the mountain

• Transport in a private 4wd vehicle

• Local insight in to the best places around town and an optional onsen stop on the way home.

EXTRAS

• Avalanche safety gear and splitboard/touring setup

• Lunch

Lift assisted resort and powder tours.

For those wanting to access the best snow with minimal effort.

Otaru is in the perfect spot to make the most of 5 nearby resort areas. We will choose the best one based on the conditions, or you tell us where you want to ride. Kiroro, Kokusai, Teine, Asarigawa Onsen & Tenguyama are the main resorts. Niseko & Rusutsu area is also possible.

Resort tours are for private groups of 1-6 people. Suitable for families with children and also those wanting to stay on the groomers.
